The Gift of Giving
In December 2017, Marvin and Grace Stutz, GCO Board members as well as the entire clan celebrated their family reunion by helping the ATI people of Boracay Island of their immediate need. They provided free food, books, toys, medicines, as well as flew in Doctors and Dentist for the medical and dental services. Additionally, celebrated New Years with a fiesta catered by their family as well.
Conversely, due to the unfortunate recent closure of the Island for six months for Island rehabilitation, most of the locals lost employment. This was a heavy burden to the ATI who are heavily dependent on Tourism. With very little help from the local government, this generous family stepped up and supported the entire ATI village as well as their School paying for their tuition, food, basic needs as well as the teachers salary so the children can continue with their education for the entire 2018 school year. Currently, they are raising more funds for 2019 as the island slowly recovers.
In May 2017, the team served in Laguna and Pampanga Philippines. GCO reached out and helped over 1600 patients thru the dental, medical and optical services. The foundation provided free food as well as free hair cuts for the children.
